Privacy Policy

How FourFit handles your information.

1. Overview

FourFit is a fitness planning and progress-tracking app developed by Sebastian Kalita (“FourFit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the FourFit iOS app and this website.

Privacy in a sentence

Your workout data stays on your device and, if available, in your private iCloud account. FourFit does not operate an account system or a custom backend that receives your workout history.

2. Information we process

Information you enter in the app

FourFit stores the fitness information you choose to provide, including your starting exercise capacity, training levels, completed workouts, workout dates, program progress, and app preferences.

Device and app information

Some technical information may be processed automatically by Apple or our advertising providers, such as device type, operating system version, app version, diagnostic information, IP address, advertising identifiers (where permitted), and interactions with advertisements.

Purchases

If you purchase FourFit Premium, Apple processes the transaction. We receive information needed to determine whether your subscription entitlement is active, but we do not receive your full payment card details.

Support messages

If you contact us, we process the email address, message content, and any other information you choose to include so we can respond.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and adjust your workout plan;
  • save your progress and show statistics;
  • sync your data across your Apple devices when iCloud is available;
  • manage Premium access and restore purchases;
  • show ads to non-Premium users and manage consent choices;
  • send workout reminders you explicitly enable;
  • provide support, maintain reliability, and prevent misuse; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Storage and third-party services

On-device storage and iCloud

Workout data is stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework. When iCloud is available, Apple CloudKit may sync it through your private iCloud database. Apple processes this data under your Apple account and its own privacy terms. If iCloud is unavailable, FourFit uses local-only storage.

Google Mobile Ads and consent

Non-Premium users may see ads provided by Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your region, consent choice, and device settings, Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions, and diagnostic data to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Google’s User Messaging Platform may store your consent selection. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Apple services

FourFit uses Apple services including iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, and local notifications. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

We do not use third-party analytics in the current version of the app and do not operate a custom application server.

5. Your choices and controls

  • Workout data: Reset your data from FourFit Settings. You can also delete the app to remove its local data.
  • iCloud: Manage iCloud access and stored app data in your Apple device settings.
  • Notifications: Change reminder settings in FourFit or notification permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Ads: Where available, use the consent controls shown in the app and Apple’s tracking settings.
  • Subscription: Manage or cancel Premium in your Apple ID subscription settings.

You may also contact us to ask a privacy question. Because we do not operate user accounts or receive your private workout database, we may not be able to identify or access data held only on your device or in your iCloud account.

6. Data retention

Workout data remains on your device until you reset it or remove the app. Data synced to iCloud is retained according to your iCloud settings and Apple’s policies. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. Advertising providers apply their own retention periods.

7. Children’s privacy

FourFit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as FourFit changes or legal requirements evolve. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
